Face Moisturizers Can Be For Men or Women
from:We hear more and more about taking care of our skin and using face moisturizers than we ever have before. There is a lot more emphasis on skin care than in the past. A lot of it has to do with the fact that we are exposed to more elements and chemicals that are harmful to our face and skin in general. Years ago, women would lie out in the sun to get a suntan in the summer. Today, women and men both go to tanning booths year round to have a tan. Makeup is being worn more than it ever has been in the past as well. These changes all contribute to making our skin drier and aging faster.
If you think back to when you were little, you probably remember your mother or grandmother putting creams on their face before they went to bed. They may have called it "beauty cream" or "face cream", but chances are these were face moisturizers. Face moisturizers were used back then as a part of their daily cleaning regimen for personal hygiene. It should be used today as a daily part as well. The need for face moisturizers is higher than ever before.
Face moisturizers will help keep your skin healthy and fresh looking and retain much of the moisture and oils that the environment takes out. With their combination of emollients, humectants and occlusives, they are all working to help keep our face as moist and smooth as possible. What causes our face or skin to dry out is when we lose the normal oils and water from under the skin. We lose these important things from overexposure to the sun, chemicals, wind, not enough humidity, and part of the normal aging process. We can't do anything about aging, but we can slow down the premature aging process somewhat by taking good care of our skin.
With so much of the population diet and exercise conscious, they're not always getting the proper nutrition and vitamins. Both of these are important to and for our skin to look healthy. Face moisturizers help our face to always be thoroughly cleansed, nurtured and nourished with the oils, moisture and vitamins it needs. Face moisturizers come in creams, but they are also available in the form of lotions, soaps and gels. Any of these varieties will work well for your face. Two of the most popular face moisturizers are Dove and Olay. Both of these products will help to give you softer skin in just a few weeks. Both of these brands are famous and very well liked by the public. If you have oily skin, try to avoid moisturizers with mineral oils, mineral waxes or any ingredients that will clog pores. Another tip unknown to many is that the nose doesn't need moisturizers because there is enough oil glands on the nose. But, face moisturizers will help almost every skin type to look its healthiest.
